It’s my best friend’s birthday last Monday and even though we didn’t have the luxury of time to celebrate together the entire day, we still did manage to meet up for a nice brunch at Dean and Deluca!
In fact, being the kiasu me, I have already met her in August and passed her the birthday gifts. I thought I would be just too busy in September. That time, we ate a quick lunch at Shin Kushiya in Vivocity.
Then, she told me she’s going to take leave on her birthday, and so, I could have brunch with her! I didn’t want to go empty handed, so I decided to make her something – more meaningful and sweet.
Thanks to Jacq who re-sparked my vague interest in paper origami, I made the Bestie a bouquet of tulips! It wasn’t the most perfect bouquet, but the thought and effort matter the most, yea?
this hasn’t been the easiest year for you and I know you haven’t been the happiest. So, for your new year, I wish you happiness. I wish that you would be able to find new happiness in your life but at the same time, find a way to store the fond memories of the past in your heart as well. I know it’s not going to be easy for you, but knowing you, I know you will be able to do it one day.
When all else fails, you know you have still got me to catch you.
Love you lots!
Can’t wait for October to come to an end so that we can spend more time together. I am totally missing the carefree student-days in the States, where she would just come to my room and stay over and I would cook her the most unhealthy food.
