SpaRitual Singapore Water 2012 – Launch event

This is an overdue post. At the start of last month, SpaRitual Singapore held their launch for the Water 2012 collection. It was an afternoon of girly manicures, yummy food and socializing.

It was held at Food for Thought (Bras Basah), and I am already shortlisting that as a location for ROM. =D

Anyway, here are some photos. I am the one behind the lenses, so no photos of me.

Definitely a memorable day for me – rushing from places to places on that day. It was also the first day of our pushcart roadshow at Change Alley, and also my tuition day, so I spent a lot of time rushing from location to location. So tiring, but also fulfilling, as I can recall now.

Combating hair loss – continued post

Mar 5, 2012 by
in Life as it is, Oh the things of beauty, Reviews

2 months ago, I blogged about my hair loss problems and the products I have purchased to combat it. This is a continued post, basically on product reviews.

But before I begin, let’s just say, THEY WORK! I am very surprised, and in fact, secretly very grateful *sniffs* to these products for helping me rid the hair loss problem. I wouldn’t stop using them anymore! No need to go for expensive hair-loss treatments at those china-sounding places for now – YAY!

{1} Phyto Phytocyane Revitalizing Shampoo (for thinning hair-women) – with Ginkgo biloba, Grapeseed, Cinchona bark extract and Coconut oil. This is the shampoo which I use almost daily (Once in a while, I use another shampoo just to prevent product built-up). Available at Watsons and Guardian.

In the short 2 months, I am already into my second bottle. It’s a brown, very-liquid-y shampoo, with a strong herbal scent (not unpleasant), and it lathers up well. Normally, I will massage my scalp while using this shampoo to clean my hair. Then, before I wash it off, I leave it on for a minute, just so that the natural goodness of the ingredients can seep into my scalp and nourish my hair!

It washes off easily and because it’s a very gentle shampoo, you wouldn’t find your hair too dry even if you wash it daily. Sometimes, when I have a long day, I even wash my hair twice.

Even though Phyto products are slightly pricey, I feel that this shampoo really does work, and have been recommending it to my friends.  Read more…

Some more photos

I have been snapping with my iPhone so that I can record my life easily in pictures – work seems never ending and I can’t blog using lengthy words and Lumix photos.

The boy bought me these from the airport DFS when he went on a short business trip during the Valentine’s day week. Even though we didn’t exchange/celebrate the day, I guess these are his gifts for me.

L-R – Jurlique Rose Body Care Lotion, Chloe EDT, Chanel Precision Beaute Initiale Energizing Multi-Protection Fluid with SPF 15.

Basically, I am in love with Jurlique’s products (especially the Rose range), because they are so good for the skin and body! I am using the rose body lotion for the first time ever, and it’s a winner! The Chloe EDT is a recommendation from Jacq, and because my own Gucci and Burberry Sheer are finishing, I got J to help me buy. It’s pretty and the scent is quite lovely! The Chanel day moisturizer is my staple – I use it on days when I don’t want any makeup. It’s light pink, hence giving a sheer radiance to the skin. Love the added SPF for the lazy days.  Read more…

Just some photos from my iPhone

in Flavours and aromas, Life as it is, Oh the things of beauty

I have been quite active on Path, even though I have very few friends, and actually not a single very good friend on it! I love the app (available on iPhone and Andriod) and it’s developed by an ex-Facebook staff, so you can expect it to be great. The camera app in-built into Path is great, and I love using it to take photos randomly, even though I always tell myself to upgrade to a better iPhone for a better camera.

Please join me on Path! You can download it straight from your mobiles.

So, the photos:

Feb 8, 2012 by
in Adverts, Oh the things of beauty, Reviews

Have you heard of the Argan Oil from Morocco? If you haven’t you are missing out on alot!

About the millennium liquid gold…

The Argan tree is native to Morocco. The kernel of the its fruit contains a precious resource: an almond which, once harvested by expert female hands,  releases a honey-coloured oil – the hugely raved Argan Oil.

Argan Oil has unique cosmetic and medicinal properties. Bursting with Omega 6 (lineolic acid) and Omega 9 essential fatty acids, vitamin E and polyphenols, this concentrated active ingredient is the human body’s natural ally.  It is able to work on all cell functions at the same time. Naturally rich in antioxidants (vitamin E and polyphenols) and fatty acids, the Argan Oil has proven itself as a remarkable overall “anti-aging” product.

Argan oil has always been used naturally, as a massage elixir, an anti-wrinkle cream for the face, a moisturizing body milk, a hair regenerating mask or to strengthen nails.

Naturelle d’Orient makes a commitment to promote the products of the Argan tree to help rural populations in southern Morocco to preserve their regional economic and ecological balance.

Now, you can get your hands on a free sample tube!  Read more…
